President Arthur Khachatryan’s Statement on behalf of the International Association of Public Diplomacy Experts
TEXT OF THE STATEMENT
Your Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, esteemed participants of today's event,
The International Association of Public Diplomacy Experts is deeply concerned about the escalating situation in the Middle East that poses a threat to international peace.
Our association stands in defense of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and advocates for a fair resolution of the Palestinian issue based on the two-state principle, UN resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
To achieve this, an immediate ceasefire and an end to the genocide against the civilian population of Palestine are necessary.
We call for convening an international donor conference for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and an international conference to implement the rights of the Palestinian people, as well as the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the territories occupied in 1967, with its capital in East Jerusalem, and the return of refugees.
This is the consistent and clear position of the Russian leadership and the overwhelming majority of the global community, which we support.
