IAPDE President Arthur Khachatryan and Members of the Association’s Leadership at Roundtable Discussion "Lessons of Kornienko”

President of the International Association of Public Diplomacy Experts, Arthur Khachatryan, and several members of the Association’s leadership participated in the roundtable discussion "Lessons of Kornienko" to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of the esteemed Soviet diplomat and statesman, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR from 1977 to 1986, Hero of Socialist Labour, Georgy Kornienko.

The session was opened by Sergey Mironov, Chairman of the A Just Russia – For Truth party.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Ryabkov, read a message to the roundtable participants from Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov. The roundtable, organized by the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Fair World Institute, saw contributions from A.V. Yakovenko, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy, Russian diplomats, diplomatic service veterans, and international relations scholars, who shared their memories of G.M. Kornienko.
